There are soooo many love songs our there; probably more on this topic than on any other. This comes to show that even if everybody talks, writes and sings so much about it and to some it just becomes a cheesy subject, still love is what drives people. Or at least that’s what we hope. Don’t blame us, we’re just dreamers
Why Cold World? Because we have chosen to portrait love from a different perspective. The lyrics really show this. The mood is set from the first accords of the tune. It’s not the happiest tune you’ve heard. This world is a cold one when you don’t have whom to love. Even the toughest guys or the lost prostitutes really are looking for a person with whom to share their heart. Unfortunately many times the other person looks only for a fill up, not willing to share anything. And many times, even if we look for the right person, we end up not being satisfied with what we get. It is said that we, the souls, meet in this world like straws on a river that are brought together by the current. We ‘sail’ together for a while and then again the current pulls them apart, never to meet again: ‘Coming together and leaving each other for good’
But there is definitely someone ‘sweeter than honey and fresher than flowers in spring’. In Sanskrit language this concept is represented by the word ‘Madhava’ which means exactly that.
We repeatedly go through experiences of broken heart and in those moments everything seems dead and one feels so painfully lonely in this world. That’s when our only hope is to remember that there really is that sweet and nice and perfect person and we hope for ‘Madhava’. If you’re a dreamer, keep hoping. If you’re not, start dreaming!
In one of our future posts we’ll talk about the concept of the video and all it’s backstage stuff, so keep calm and… watch the video below.
_____________
Oh how cold this world is
When you try to find where love is
Looking whom your heart to give away
Empty cups around you
Trying to fill up from you
Coming together and leaving each other for good
Madhava Madhava
Sweeter than honey
Fresher than flowers in spring
Madhava Madhava
I need you so much
I wanna feel your embrace
I am dying slowly
Having broken heart and lonely
Cutting it again and let it bleed
When you look at me so warmly
I feel the melting ice inside me
Flowing from my heart like rivers of tears
Madhava Madhava
Sweeter than honey
Fresher than flowers in spring
Madhava Madhava
I need you so much
I want to feel your embrace
