EN: When working in New York, I used to each day pass by and admire this old African guy playing his djembe on the street. Once, I stopped and applauded him. We became friends and he taught me the „feel” of play. He took me to his friends who were djembe hand carvers and chose one for me. Fell in love right away!
RO: Când lucram în New York treceam în fiecare zi pe lângă un bătrân african care cânta pe stradă la djembe-ul său și îl admiram. Odată, m-am oprit și l-am aplaudat. Ne-am împrietenit și m-a învățat “feeling-ul” tobei. M-a dus la prietenii săi care erau artizani de djembe și a ales una pentru mine. M-am îndrăgostit pe loc!
